CALAS welcomes all individuals/educators who are interested in supporting its mission.
The full membership meets three times a year. Our membership meeting dates for the 24-25 school year will take place virtually on October 23, 2024, January 29, 2025 and April 2, 2o25.
Members of the organization’s Executive Board are Dr. Maribel Olivero, President, Mr. Miguel Pabon President-Elect, Ms. Adela Jorge, Vice-President, Mr. Manuel Zaldivar, Secretary, Ms. Lillian Fontan, Executive Director , Mrs. Daisy Torres-Hill , Past-President, Dr. Evelyn Robles-Rivas, Past-President, Dr. Madeline Negron, Past-President, and Dr. Abie Benitez, Past-President.
2024-2025 Annual Membership Fees
We are excited to share a partnership with our national office, Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS),
for current and existing CALAS members who are current administrators in our state for the 24-25 school year.
For an additional $5, the CALAS membership annual rate will now automatically include annual membership to ALAS. This new rate will allow these members to access several benefits at the national level. Rates will increase for new and returning members as follows:
Senior Leadership: Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Deputy, and Chief
$105 (CALAS $100, ALAS $5)
General Membership: Director, Assistant Director, Supervisor, Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean
$55 (CALAS $50, ALAS $5)
Associate Membership: Teacher, Aspiring Administrator, College Personnel, Retired Educator
$35 (CALAS $35)
CALAS new and returning members, who are not current administrators, will remain at the same annual rate as last year. Members will have access to all CALAS events, meetings and activities.
Affiliate Memberships
Affiliate Memberships shall be open to State and National Educational Associations and to Business Partners who support the goals of the organization.
Corporate Partnerships
The Connecticut Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents values corporate partnerships because such partnerships enable Association membership to keep informed about the current educational marketplace and enhance the quality of the Association’s programs and mission. Affiliate/Business Partner Membership is available to Corporate Partners.
The Board reserves the right to select Corporate Partners that are most likely to assist CALAS achieve its goals and to terminate any such partnerships at any time. Corporate Partners shall be defined as any corporation or business entity that supports the goals of the organization. Corporate Partners shall be entitled to those privileges specified in their agreement with CALAS.
